In traffic, I caught a glimps of the decal on the car in front of me.
I hope something happens to you today.
I chuckled. I thought of all the things I desired for today. I was tired physically but not mentally. At that moment, giving deep thought to the possibilities of things to happen, I wondered what others reading the same message may think.
Did they read it the way I read it?
How would it impact their day?
What was the intention of the driver?
Was this meant for the person who tailgates or cries on the way to work?
I can only assume the intention to be positive from the other stickers on the back of the car. But was my assumption wrong?

Regardless of the answers, every person reading the words has one thing in common with the person who placed the message there.
Every reaction, response, and even the intention of the message is about perspective.
This message will resonate in millions of ways depending on where you are mentally, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. The tone and context in which you digest the words determine what you believe them to mean. Here is what I do know.
Perspective is set by the anchor
Your anchor determines what you see, understand, feel, and do. You cast your net for living life from where you anchor drawing your perspective. However, the condition of your net determines just how many possibilities you carry from your perspective. Being anchored in disbelief, frustration, hatred, and negativity with a tired and worn perspective limits your ability for possibility.
Perspective is not universal
Perspective is personal. Right, wrong, or indifferent to yours, others have the right to their own perspective. Never fight to change the perspective of others when you are not fully aware or understanding where they anchor. You can not borrow perspective and possibility from others. You have to find your own.
Perspective grows when you foster adaptability
Perspective should change. You can always move your anchor, raise the bar, and challenge the reality of your situation. The choice for you is adaptability. Challenge yourself here with this: I can not expect anything better to happen today if I stay stuck in everything that didn’t work yesterday. You still have space and opportunity to change the next 24.
Something is going to happen today…and I am excited about it for and with you!
I’m always rooting for you!
